Who am I ?

I’m Andy McColl, traffic and travel news reporter. I have almost a decade of experience in this specialist field and I want to share my reporting knowledge with you on a one-to-one basis at my home studio in Berkshire, or in your OWN HOME or WORKPLACE using my mobile training facilities.

During my 10 year career as a traffic and travel news reporter, I’ve covered major incidents and emergency situations including train derailments, motorway closures, tube and rail strikes, the petrol crisis of 2000, Royal Weddings and Funerals, numerous London Marathons and the terror attacks on the US and home soil on stations across London, the southeast and nationwide. I also presented on Channel Travel Radio, the dedicated radio service for drivers on the M20 approach to the Eurotunnel Terminal and Kent ports. I’ve been working for London news stations such as ITN Radio, LBC and AA Roadwatch for almost 10 years.

I’ve also made a few appearances on Anglia TV News and on the ITV Evening News.

I feel being a radio travel news reporter can be a challenging, satisfying and a rewarding full time career, but can also provide a stepping-stone to greater heights within the industry.
